@triciact, it also seems Biden might be doing this for his son, Beau.  I read somewhere that when his son was diagnosed with the terminal brain tumor, he still wanted his father to run.  Biden remarked in January that Beau should have been the one running for president, not him.  Biden said that each morning he wakes up he says to himself,  'Is he proud of me?"  As Beau was approaching the end of his life, Biden said Beau was worried that his father would walk away from what he worked for his entire life, and made his father promise that he would stay engaged.

Meanwhile ... the full impact of Warren's departure really hit me last night.  I saw her interviewed on Rachel Maddow, and my heart ached.   I had a fitful night, and woke up mad as hell.  Maybe that anger will be channeled into some positive, productive action.

@deetoo

I do remember hearing that about Beau too now that you mentioned it.  I saw Elizabeth on TV and she was holding back tears, her voice sounded shaky. I wanted to cry with her!

So, some idiot unfurled a Nazi flag and shouted anti-semitic slurs at Sanders.  An hour ago, Biden tweeted this-

"I don't care who you're supporting; attacks like this against a man who could be the first Jewish President are disgusting and beyond the pale. Hatred and bigotry have no place in America-and it's up to all of us to root out these evils wherever they're found."

He's decent.

He also has out a new ad calling T. the most corrupt president in modern history, and telling him to either release his taxes or shut up.

I REALLY like this.  If our nation is a desert, these words are a rainstorm rolling by, quenching the land and providing a respite from the dry heat.

I really love Joe Biden and I know he is not perfect but I also know that he operates from a center of benevolence and good will. He wants to empathically connect to people, to feel a connection and have them know he understands. One can look back at votes and policies with the 2020 hindsight and 2020 standards and make many assumptions that do not take into account the context and times they were made in.

He will feel energetically beaten with the attacks on his son Hunter. I would like him to build some psychic barriers to prevent that but I don't know how to express that to him. I don't know how appropriate it is for Republican Senators to go after a political challenger during election season-- would that not be a violation of the Hatch Act?

All this talk about anenquiry into Hunter Biden is  a publicity stunt to ry to  discredit Bidens campaign.  The Ukraine has  already investigatedand found  nothing.  The Reps don't like the answer and want to be disruptive.  If the Biden campaing people and the rest of  the Dems are smart they will counter with aninvestigation of the trump spawn!  Both Joe and Bernie shouldstart talking about them and call out theReps .  The squicky wheel gets the grease!  Or something like that!  Mittens is a coward of the first order andneeds to be publically called one.

As for Elizabeth  Warren, I  cried during her interview with Rachel the night.  She doesn't have to endorce either of the candidates andif I  were her I wouldn't.  Just say let the guys have at it.

On a weird note, My horoscope this morning was strange.  It said "what do you think aleins would think if they visited out planet?  What would they think of  the  way we treat the earth and each other?"  Who writes these things!

I enter contests where I have to search, so I googled Joe Biden and the first several things were negative; such as JB dementia.

@elaineg

Yes the online disinformation campaign has been on for a while. Seriously ironic since we actually do have a dementia laden crazy nut right in front of us every day as POTUS. It's truly unreal.

Yang endorses Biden.  Will be interesting to see if that might bring some younger voters over to him.

Well, I am watching the debate and wish Biden wasn't coughing right now.

In the debate Sunday, Biden said he would chose a Women as VP.

This is news worthy, not a surprise but it would make history, if he is elected.  Progress,

The lawyer representing Tara Read is no longer representing her

Doug Wigdor said the decision to no longer represent Reade was made on Wednesday, the day after CNN published an extensive investigation about Reade's background and past statements. In the report, CNN first revealed problems with Reade's claim that she received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Antioch University in Seattle; the school denied to CNN that she ever graduated from the university

Defense lawyers in California are reviewing past criminal cases in which Reade testified as an expert witness.

The lawyers said they are concerned over inconsistencies in her education credentials and that her testimony may have improperly influenced the outcomes of their trials.

"This could affect innocent people that got convicted," defense attorney William Pernik, law partner of Roland Soltesz who represented a defendant in a case where Reade testified as an expert witness, told CNN.

Reade participated in cases in Monterey County courts for "probably a decade or more" as a government witness on domestic violence, according to Monterey County Chief Assistant District Attorney Berkley Brannon. Reade had testified in a 2018 trial that she received a liberal arts degree with a focus on political science when she was asked questions about credentials presented on her resume, according to court documents.

Reade also told the court that she worked in domestic violence prevention for decades, starting off as a legislative assistant in Biden's office when he worked on the Violence Against Women Act, according to a trial transcript. Reade was a staff assistant in Biden's office, according to a congressional staff list at the time, which is a different position.

Interesting that some of these people have a “degree” and then they caught in a lie.

I get a good feeling from Joe Biden. I feel he is being supported by spirits of the Revolution, Civil War, and others. I too see Beau and his other loved ones gathered together and sending him energy and clarity.

He has a stammer and sometimes gets things a little jumbled, but does seem to have awareness of that.

I just see a lot of light surrounding him. He is a decent , kind, and authentic man. He needs some work on boundaries, and not being touchy feely. I don't get an abusive, or deceptive feel from him.

The reason Joe Biden sometimes comes off a bit unsteady is because Joe has had to work through a speech impediment when he was young (stuttering). He's not unsteady or not slow thinking at all. He is a good and decent man - the opposite of what we currently have. I would love to have seen Elizabeth Warren as POTUS or even Bernie, but I will gladly vote for Joe. My head knows Elizabeth would be the best VP, BUT her governor is a republican so it would endanger taking the senate.

On another note: Does anyone happen to know why the district in California that had a recent mail in vote to replace Katie Hill went for a GOP replacement? That one was tough to swallow.

Regarding Biden's birthchart: He has an affable, happy-go-lucky (and gaffe-prone) Ascendant in Sagittarius and a stable (and stubborn) Moon in Taurus, but the first thing that catches my eye when I look at his chart is his four planets in Scorpio: Sun, Mercury, Venus, and Mars. And the fact that Sun/Mercury/Venus are all in the 12th house (house of Pisces).

Three Scorpio planets (including the Sun) in the 12th house: That's a lot of intuition combined with feeling right there. There is more under the surface of Joe Biden's personality than above it. He has a rich inner life and almost certainly experiences visions, premonitions, dreams, or has some other empathic gift.

My sense is that he has old guides who are close to him, sharing knowledge. And that he is quite comfortable with them.

I think Jill Biden is aware of her husband's intuitive gifts but doesn't fully understand them or worries that they could be used to his disadvantage by political opponents.

I'm not a campaign manager (good thing) but if it were me I'd pour every cent into those states with the big electoral votes that are on the fence.  Of course I can't believe anyone in Michigan would ever vote for him again.

@suspira44. You are correct that because of the outdated and no longer fair electoral college, elections are won in the swing states. The campaign people already know what you so astutely are saying here.  They can't pour every cent  into the swing states, but they pour disproportionately more into the swing states than other places.

They are also working on rooting and calling out disinformation that is now on the rise.  We need to call our Twitter and Facebook for being the instruments of lies.

We also need to be purveyors on this site of truth, and provide reliable sources for all news we pass along.

Lots of talk right now that Val Demings might be Biden's running mate.  I think this might be a good choice for Biden to make.  She is a former Orlando police chief and current congresswoman and African American. She has a strong likability factor and smart.   I have always liked her in interviews.  Did I say she was a former police chief and African American and likable ????     Let that sink I for a moment.  I really think Kamala Harris needs to be Atterny General or A Supreme Court Justice.

I have also been thinking Demings. I think she best fits the moment. She is not only a woman of color but she also bridges the chasm between African Americans and the police. She made a name for herself during the impeachment hearings, when she tore several people a new you-know-what. I fell in love with her then and am praying she is his choice for VP.

I wonder when he'll announce it? Ok so a quick google search indicates they generally announce in the days leading up to the convention, which is August. But I do hope he announces before then, esp. if it's Demings.

Would someone be willing to look into Michigan's governor, Gretchen Whitmer, as a possible VP choice for Biden? An astrologer on another site says she and Joe together would bring a positive synergy to the ticket. Any impressions on her? Thank you.
