Hi @triciact.  Why don't you ask for guidance on dealing with these people and situations?  You might be pleasantly surprised at the new ideas that randomly pop into your head at just the right moment. ❤️ 

I have to fall back on a piece of advice I ran across while reading Mark Twain many years ago:  "Never argue with an idiot.  They'll drag you down to their level and beat you with experience." ;-)

frank: my guides told me I had to figure out how to be less emotional (that's what I heard when I meditated on it recently, which is not surprising to me).

I just read that they (Barr) dropped the charges on Michael Flynn? So one of the things that gets me every time is injustice. Gets me in the gut as they say.

I have another saying (which is why I wanted to ask Allyn for some factual reinforcement):

"Don't shoot your mouth off unless your brains are loaded". ? 

Heard that Dems will win 5 new senate seats. One barely. More than enough for a Democratic senate!

Meanwhile, there's a lot we can do to help from the comfort of our homes, we need to keep going and not get complacent. Russia is already attacking us, we have to do whatever we can.

I'll post the link below, Vote Save America is running several good donations campaigns ("Get Mitch Out or Die Trying" is one), AND they just unveiled an at home activism campaign especially for those of us in blue states who want to help in red states. It's called Adopt a State. No monetary contributions - you just pick one of the 6 states that we need to flip, sign up, and they'll email you tasks you can do. Many of the tasks revolve around re-enfranchising disenfranchised voters and working to get as many people as possible to be able to do mail ballots.  I've adopted Arizona (waving at @Lovendures !), since they're "right next door".  They are also offering some free online educational classes about how to do these tasks efficiently.  So check them out. I can say that we just donated a bit today to the "Get Mitch" Fund and also to Amy McGrath's KY Senate campaign.

Being a country child Grandma often told us " Never wrestle with a pig. You just get dirty and the pig enjoys it.  I recently had a friend who is a staunch Trumper bombard with that bullshit. I started to fire up and engage.. and then thought... nope... not going there. I replied " if you wish to discuss this matter and back it up with facts? I'll listen. If you are just going to spout mere rhetoric and not back it up with fact? Let's move on. Agree to disagree . "  It diffused the energy and I kept my peace and resolve intact. He was a bit surprised by that ... but quickly lost the head of steam he had built up.
