From the day I first read about her as a moderate Republican governor from a southern state, I got such a bad feeling about her. My feelings are pure gut. I have never even seen her speak and have read almost nothing about her. I feel she is dark, and much slicker than any other Republican pol. For that reason, she is dangerous.

Every once in a while I get a feeling about someone. I got a feeling about Barack Obama long before I knew anything about him -- and it was a good feeling.  I got the same feeling about Elizabeth Warren - that she is genuine and someone who really can change the world for the better, if only the world will let her.  Same with Bernie and AOC.

But I get such a bad feeling about Nikki Haley. When I was a kid I read a fairytale about a beautiful princess who opened her mouth to speak, and toads and lizards came out. Haley would never let us see the toads and lizards inside her, but she reminds me of that fairytale because she tries to seem like such a nice and principled woman. But she is dangerous, and very slick.  She's a woman who might pass herself off as having a real inner divine feminine. She is not. She is pure ambition, and ambition to do what? Just for the power of it.

Okay now how far off am I about her? I admit this is just a feeling. Tell me she's much better than that.

She isn't better than that.  My experience is limited to recent events.  But in a recent interviews (within a week) she pushed back on John Kelly and Rex Tillerson in their efforts to reign in the worst of Trump while supporting his policies, she rebuffed them (and it is speculated informed Trump of their actions).

She was recently interviewed and said she did not think Trump ever lied.  That he was a great President.  That tells me she has no morals, ethics, or <most importantly> INTEGRITY.

She's trying to please Trump.  She's trying to please his Base.  She's trying to leverage a VP run or a Presidential run.  Think about it, if Trump leaves (and so many see him resigning), who will lead the GOP?  Pence is up to his armpits in trouble and Trump has already fired a warning shot that if he is removed, he will take Pence down with him (hostage situation).

So, Pence isn't likely to be a viable Presidential choice.  That gives her a 2020 opening.

I wonder if spirit thinks we've suffered enough yet....

@jeanne-mayell, I can't believe I just went on the computer and saw your post.  I was thinking about Haley this past 1/2 hour, and was going to post about her.  For the past two years I've had very similar negative feelings as you have.  Ever since she left the UN position, I've seen her patiently waiting for the ax to fall.  She's really smart, blinded by ambition, calculating, untrustworthy.   She's vying for that VP position, and Pence knows it.  And she's banking on T. not lasting.   So she'll say anything, do anything, to position herself.  She's being criticized by the Dems and the Repubs that have integrity (e.g., Nicolle Wallace, Steve Schmidt, among others), for her recent T. butt-kissing comments, but that will never make Faux news.  They love her over there.

And it's scary, because she presents well -- comes across as being thoughtful/measured, sane, attractive.  I see her attracting conservative women voters.  My concern is that right now I don't see a Dem in the WH in 2021, but I do see a dark-haired woman on the podium.  I've seen it for well over a year.  I don't know who it is, and what it means.  I pray it's Pelosi!

She presents well, like that princess, out of whose mouth only came toads and lizards. (Apologies to toads and lizards, who are innocent little guys just trying to make a living).

I also have seen her for the last few years well on the road to the White House.  Oh Lord, I pray that we don't replace Trump with another dark power hungry sycophant who is slicker.

I have not be a fan of Haley for years.  She was a Tea Party darling.  Huge pro gun advocated.  Blamed mental health for upswing in shootings and relaxed gun laws in her state.  I would have negative feelings every time I would hear her speak.

Still do.

Haley is probably the most dangerous of the republican party. Shes a cold hearted, self serving, opportunist, just like Trump. The scary part is, unlike the orange nightmare, shes smart. She also can play the minority and woman card to gather support. Her leaving her UN post and writing the book was a premeditated play to advance herself to the White House post Trump. She rode the fence on DT in the book, threw Kelly and Tillerson to the wolves for advancement, but didnt say a word about Pence. She didnt want to badmouth him and piss off the evangelicals, but wouldnt say anything positive he could use against her in the campaign shes planning on running against him in 2024

the Washington Post Fact-Checking Machine has found, what, 13,985 lies told by T., since he has been in office.

N. Haley says he is "truthful".  That puts her total lies at at least 13,986.

And that is just for today.

@Codyroo, @Deetoo, @Lovendures, @Unkp, and @MAS1581 Thank you for your input!

Well, she may have her moment in the sun, but she is from the darkness and it will eventually swallow her up.

I've never had good feelings about Nikki Haley. She seems like she will do anything to get what she wants. She's very far right and I don't trust her at all. I think she's making her moves because she wants the VP position and the 2024 GOP nomination.

I thought popped into my head this morning: Has Trump agreed to support her presidential candidacy, either next year of sometime down the line?  If he exits next year he campaigns with her, on the condition that she pardon him or he takes her down? If he runs again then he supports anything else she does? This may be obvious, but it came to my as an "Aha" thing.

In our read the future night I predicted that Nikki Haley would be in the news and a possible backup candidate for 2020 or beyond. I get a really BAD feeling about her too and hope she's not the dark haired woman Jeanne saw in her vision.

Meanwhile "the Mooch" has been all over the place badmouthing Trump now but has been seen talking to Nikki Haley.

Note: Nikki Haley voted to drug test people who get unemployment benefits so she could remove the benefit from anyone who takes drugs.

I've had the same vision, I wasn't sure before if it was Gabbard or Haley, but now I'm pretty sure it's Haley.  I remember that in that particular vision, I was at the Inauguration, on the Mall, and people were mostly upset about who had won.

Jeanne is absolutely right about Haley. She is a long time member of the American Legislative Exchange Council (ALEC) since her days as a state legislator in N Carolina. ALEC is a Koch sponsored organization that brings corporate lawyers and lobbyists together with mostly R state legislators to write laws favorable to business. Its priorities are issues like weakening environmental regulations (Koch industries is a major polluter) and taking away workers rights especially the right to organize unions.

As a Koch sponsored politician, if she were ever elected, Charles Koch would essentially be running the country, the power behind the throne.

Even though she did not support trump in 2016--she campaigned for Rubio--she later became a loyal trump minion. In fact, he became a mentor to her; she has also denied having an affair with him which was reported in, I think, Fire and Fury.

Haley would truly be a disaster if she were elected. But as a former governor who now has foreign policy experience as UN ambassador, and a potential first woman president, she would be formidable.

We're not out of the darkness yet....

I've been lurking here for a while and this post compelled me to join and comment. I agree with all of these impressions. I've also seen MANY conservatives post about the irony of electing her as the first female president, and a WOC as well. She's dark, and has changed so much about her persona (her first name, her religion, etc) to succeed in a political realm. With Trump fading, I'm not sure the current candidates have considered someone like her and how that changes things. She worries me so much.

FYI, in early August under the “Situation Unraveling …” thread, there are a number of insightful posts about Haley.  I’d forgotten about them, until I was searching for something else.

My vision of 2021 Inauguration Day keeps flipping. It's always been more like Haley, but when I used the video to do some Read the Future 11-11 remote viewing, it was Gabbard this time... I will add that for November 2020 all I got was black - no information except that nothing is decided yet. So I guess this is all still in flux.

As for Haley, she is evil and way smarter than Douchebag Donnie, so way scarier.

As I was reading this thread I was reminded of an experience I had this morning that I had forgotten about. I was driving to a gathering that I felt obligated to go to, but didn't want to go to. (Work-related, on a Sunday!) It was a beautiful day and as I was driving along I realized I hadn't said my morning prayer. (I've been trying to start my day with a prayer, to set the tone for the day.) So, as I was driving I was praying; appreciation and gratitude for the beautiful day, along with gratitude for a few other things. I then stuck in a request to protect our democracy. I immediately got an image, along with a powerful feeling of energy. What I saw and felt was black, sticky energy in Washington, D.C. being gathered up into a big ball and pushed out to sea. This strong feeling/image lasted for a few minutes as I was driving along. Not all the bad, sticky energy got gathered up, though. There was a teeny bit of gray energy left. I thought I should help push that gray energy out, too. But I couldn't do it. I then got the message that the gray energy was staying there to keep us "on our toes". I wasn't given any kind of timeline, but I think the movement is starting now. (And the work-related gathering was productive so I'm glad I went.)

So according to a new interview with Haley, the confederate flag meant service, sacrifice and heritage until Dylan roof hijacked it.  Oh, and the media  is apparently to blame  for turning the shooting of nine black church members by a white supremacist with a racist manifesto into a story about...racism.

“Roof’s actions,” said the Atlantic writer Adam Serwer, “were completely consistent with the cause of that flag and all the ‘service, sacrifice and heritage’ associated with it. The Confederate flag represents treason in defence of human bondage and white supremacy, it always has, and always will.”

From presidential historian Heather Cox Richardson: "Nikki Haley, who previously was willing to speak out against Trump, is now doing a circuit of talk shows seemingly designed to enable her to step into a high position either under him or in place of him. [bolding mine]"

Thanks for your thoughts. I've been getting bad Nikki Haley images in the back of my mind for a couple of years. When she went to the U.N, I kept thinking, please, God, make her stay there. She will be formidable with the right wing machine behind her. She is a cold-hearted force of personal ambition. Claire Underwood in House of Cards, only she's GOP.
