@jeanne-mayell or someone else (maybe lawrence?) predicted I believe that Trump would "fall" either literally or figuratively but I am not certain where that prediction is? I have a vague recollection it was for May or June though?

I came across this just now - regarding the typical stance/posture that those with FTD (fronto-temporal dementia) have - usually leaning forward otherwise they are at risk of jerking/falling backwards.....

https://twitter.com/TomJChicago/status/1263581768436744192

Interestingly, Speaker Pelosi used the term confabulate when speaking about him as well - Pelosi said doctors have previously asked her “what’s the matter with him?” “Look up the word 'confabulator,'" Pelosi said. "He just really doesn't even know what the truth is."

I took statins for about three years. So in December of 2018, both my knees went out, and my back and legs were hurting. I thought it was stress because my trailer burned, and I have a bad back. Then, I had a sudden ten  pound weight loss for no reason. Doctor ignored that and the odd pain I had up by my right collar bone. I also had thinning hair. The last straw was my liver had spots on it (We'll watch that.) Then I read statins can cause liver damage, and since I don't use anything that would do that, I decided it was the statin. They tried to get me to take another one, but I said no. I think they fibbed when they said my cholesterol had gone up 80 points in three months, when it had only gone up 25 points in the five years before that. My knees got better, not well, but better, I can't do anything about my back, but my liver is OK.

I'm on medicare. They don't do much. Last time I went in for blood pressure pills, they said you get  ten minutes with the doctor, but it was less than five. I wouldn't go at all except for the BP pills, and the one they gave me before this one, gave me a mini-stroke. I only took one a day for five days.

Good News!  I just read on twitter that the Lincoln Project is starting to do commercials on McConnell!  Yeah thank you!  I believe they have already released one on rump playing golf while we top 100,000 deaths.  The arrogance of these people, Reps mainly, is amazing.  The more I listen to rump and turtle the more I realize they are either so far out of touch they don't know what they are doing or they are so desperate they will throw anything at the wall to see if It will stick.

The anti-Amy commercial turtle has started here in Ky are a joke.  All of the pro people hav Western Ky accents.  That's where all his rich supporters are.  Most are actors and what they say are lies and everybody knows it.  Amy McGraft had a virtual town meeting this week and it went really well.  Unfortuneatly I forgot about it and didn' tune in!

Happy Memorial Day to all.

Hi Elaine, my husband tried to take them and they shut down his muscles! One thing I know is the reason I like going to my doctor is she listens to ME. I told her don't ever put me on them, and she said, "Ok, then take flax seeds (ground) every day". I did just that and it put me in a better level (even though borderline high) but my good vs. bad cholesterol ratios are very good. My husband does the same thing once in a while, but since he's not as regimented about it I hid them in his breakfast - whether it's in the bread I bake, his cereal or even pancakes. LOL

SO since the Orange nightmare is a real and present danger and threat to all of us - whether they are supporters of his or not - I've decided in my daily life that when folks (whether I know them to be his supporters or not) to TELL THE TRUTH IN MY OPINION. I no longer hide and feel like I can't be honest about what I think of him.  Example: I was at the dentist on Friday. (The poor dentist and her staff all wore two face masks, and the plastic shields and practiced every safe thing you could think of.) I felt totally safe, but worried more about THEM.

Anyway, everyone brings up the Virus so I just said "Well, in my personal opinion, our current POTUS is responsible for the extra 43k deaths that would have been spared had he not denied this was an issue back in early February if not sooner. If he had listened to the intelligence officers who told him this was coming, he could have shut the entire country down by mid or late  February for 3 weeks, no flights etc. and stopped it in his tracks. The lives and economy would have been opened up by late March and we would be done with closures, but have social distancing and opening already."

I bring up that exact sentiment to anyone I talk to on the phone or anyone now who mentions how terrible this virus is and I don't care who agrees with me or not. So far no one has said they don't agree or boo to my sentiment.

?

I grow very weary of people saying it is not as bad as it is.

Tell that to 100.000 newly untethered souls. Tell it to their loved ones.

Basically, tell your story walking. Not interested.

@yogagirl I keep getting emails telling me Amy is losing - in an atttempt to get money - and saying that her poll numbers are 47% to Jackass' 49%. I thought his approval rating was something like 12%. What gives? If he indeed wins, there is massive cheating going on.

I wrote to Nancy Pelosi - just because I felt like I had to do something - and I asked her what the Democrats were planning to do to circumvent interference with voting.

I will be honest - I don't think the Dems are tough enough. He should be being impeached a second time. And we might not be in this position if the first time he was impeached they had forced all those people to testify by arresting them and withholding their salaries, which they could have done. No they didn't want people thinking those witnesses were martyrs. So now we are.

What I get tired of hearing : 'We're better than that', when whatever happens. Evidently we're not since we keep saying it.

@suspira44 I don’t know what to tell you.  Ky is politically dirty always have been.  The polls we see here they are tied.  MM runs a lot of anti McGrath ads that are blatant lies.  In the large cities people hate him.  In the rural areas they think he’s god even though he has taken everything they have including their food stamps and they still vote for him.  Two reasons, he’s a man and he’s white.  Right now there is a group of big fat dumb folks marching on the Governor mansion protesting wearing mask.  The signs they carry are awful, they are pro 2nd amendment.  They even burned him in effigy in front of the mansion.

@yogagirl Well I will then say this. If I were Mike Bloomberg, I'd be emptying out my bank account and pouring it into Kentucky to make sure that horror show LOSES. The Democrats have to get tough, but I guess that's false hope. They need to pour money into the big electoral vote states - tons of it.

And it starts the RNC is suing California because they don’t want people to vote by mail.

@jessi1978 and everyone

The RNC will lose that case. Unlike in other states, here in CA you do not ever have to provide an excuse to vote by mail, and you can request to do so via online portal as late as some time in September. Also EVERY registered voter gets a fat booklet (which describes candidates and propositions, with entries from both sides), which includes a "dummy" ballot. Nothing illegal in the governor ordering everyone to get a real ballot, and it's unlikely a judge here in CA, even a federal one, would say that it is.

Also, you're not required to actually mail the ballot. You can drop it off at drive-thrus they set up for big elections, or even drop it off at your polling place, so Twitler et al can just bite me because there is NO FRAUD. The mail ballots all have the voter's name and address on it and also a detachable receipt that is trackable online. In fact, if you screw up your ballot (which I actually did last November), you can request a new one, but you have to sign an affidavit that you return with the ballot saying you destroyed the old one. And again, each ballot is coded/numbered/linked to each voter, so they'd know if someone returned 2 ballots.

Sorry I'm not replying here more - I'm very overwhelmed lately/fed up with how things are going and I'm finding that the less time I spend online the better.

I agree they'll lose. It's being done to appease trump, and on the off-chance they'll get some crackpot trump federal appointee who'll rule in their favor, at least in the lower courts. No way this survives on appeal.

Just out -- Washington Post: Trump is losing ground to Biden among older voters in Florida

The man in the photo, a long time Republican who is now done with Trump, reminds me of my father back in the day. He would not support T if he were around, but would be looking for a conservative with integrity.  I think he would have liked Biden.

I find it hilarious that the Republicans are trying to get rid of mail-in voting.  Consider the following:

1. Mail-in voting requires an address.  When you compare Americans on the generation divide, older Americans are more likely to have established residences that they have lived in for decades, while younger Americans (40 and younger) are more likely to rent and/or have to move to deal with the unemployment crisis.  In the current environment, the older generation have the advantage.

2. Mail-in voting favors the elderly in the sense that, with the covid-19 virus, older Americans are typically more at risk from dying and/or being hospitalized than younger Americans.  Therefore, elderly voters would benefit most from the mail-in voting.

Now, why is this important?  Although not true for everyone, older voters tend to be more conservative as a group (aka-more likely to vote Republican), and younger voters tend to be more liberal (aka-more likely to vote Democratic).

So please, RNC!  Try to take away the mail-in voting!  Because I tell you what is going to happen.  If the RNC succeeds, then they keep their own voters from heading to the ballot boxes for fear of getting sick.  Meanwhile, the younger voters, who are ticked off from being told what they can and cannot do, will be at the ballot boxes come election day simply to vote against anyone who is a Trump supporter.  And because they have less fear of complications, they will be more likely to come.

Oh, and the younger voters are also more likely to hurt more from the economic decline, so many of them will be unemployed and thus have more free time on their hands to come vote against Trump.

Don't believe me, RNC?  Then look no further than Wisconsin.  They tried to limit the vote there, and the judge who had Trump backing him got his tail handed to him by the voters there who had enough of Republican tyranny.

So please, continue your efforts and anger the population.  Because no power on Earth will stop us from voting you out.  Not you, the covid-19 virus, Trump, or anything else.  So keep it up.  Because when we take power in 2020, we will redistrict the country to ensure you never gerrymander again.  And because you have spent the last four years angering just about everyone (the young voters, the women, suburban voters, Hispanics, African Americans, Chinese, Indians, college-educated voters, decent people, etc.), you have pretty much guaranteed that your party has diminished to the point that it will likely become extinct in another decade.

So for everyone who is freaking out because of Trump and the Republicans, I say rejoice!  Remember the reasons why these people need to go and make sure to cast your ballots in November.

tRUMP (aka ORANGE NIGHTMARE) is personally and criminally responsible for most of the deaths to Americans by not shutting down the country back in early February. He was briefed in January about a man who flew from Wuhan to Washington State and he informed the CDC. The CDC gave this man Remdisivir which helped heal this man from the CVirus.

here's the article that talks about the proof of T's crimes:

January 20, 2020. he was briefed in his daily briefings about a man who flew from Wuhan China to Washington State. The bright spot in this article is that Remdesivir helped this man's symptoms and healing from the Virus.

Apparently yesterday at Arlington T had a hard time with standing still. He was swaying add that to the way he normally stands and he can’t pronounce words.

President Trump’s struggles to stand still during a Memorial Day visit to Arlington National Cemetery lit up social media Monday, prompting users to recall past incidents in which the commander in chief, who turns 74 next month, battled to find a balance.

Hi Allyn! I'm taking a new stance when talking to folks about the virus these days. Before I explain here's a a bit of why:

I do worry about the GOP and T cheating, hec we KNOW they will. I know everyone has to do what they feel is best for them. I am half German/half Italian. My mother came to this country when she was 18 because she was sponsored by a wealthy/connected family: Hugo Winterhalter (famous 50s orchestra leader). She was German, and because of the war she couldn't just go to America, you had to have a sponsor because Germans were persona not grata. I had a French teacher when I was in 7th grade who ignored me when I raised my hand because she disliked me because of my heritage (left over bad feelings from WWII). I'm saying all this because I remember when kids in school and many folks used to ask "how could the Germans have supported Hitler?"

Fast forward to today. We have as a corrupt leader in T as the Germans did in Hitler. Some day history and people looking at this time in history will ask "how could Americans have supported Trump?"

I have now made it my new normal that when folks tell me how awful this time is due to the virus and how awful the economy and the stay at home, etc. stuff is I tell them that the POTUS is responsible for at least half the deaths in this country because of the proof that he knew about it back in January. He tried to deny it, blame others and not act on it because he cared only about himself. He is having ICE agents drop off minors who are unaccompanied back to other countries without any adults present with them. He should be in the Hague.

I say it to folks who I talk to now whether or not I know if they support him or not. I look at it like I can't be complacent and just ignore it because it's uncomfortable anymore. I also don't look to engage folks in this discussion or make fun of them, but when applicable, I figure if just ONE person changes their mind about him I've done something right. ?
