@mas1581 I’m almost afraid to hope. Unfortunately it looks like he placed his man in as Secretary of State. Daniel Camberon is a lobbyist who is MoscowMitchs protege. He will fight the Governor at every turn. I was just watching the coverage on the local PBS station and the analyst made a good point. The Dem party in Kentucky needs a leader and a shot in the arm. I’m hoping that is Amy McGraff who is running against Mitch.
Virginia's senate is already flipped blue. Their house is going to as well, but not enough called races as of now. (Won 47 and leading in 8 more)
Trump has done the unthinkable in triplicate. Hes turned entire state legislature in VA, Governorship in KY, and Sessions' senate seat in AL blue. That takes talent.
Things are looking pretty good for Dems right now in Virginia. Looks like they will have at least partial control of the state legislature.

Beshear will get beaten down every move he makes, but this is more about the bigger picture. The only reason republicans are protecting Trump is because they are worried about votes and Trump is thought to get them. Once the tide turns and Trump is shown to be publicly toxic to voters, especially in historically red states like KY and VA tonight (dems haven't controlled the state govt in 25 years), they will all turn on him like a pack of rabid wolves.
Unfortunately our Dem governor will have a Rep Secretary of State and he is Mitch’s man. I haven’t paid much attention to our state legislature’s but I believe it is still a red. The Dem party in Ky needs new blood and a strong leader.
Don’t get me wrong I’m thrilled to death Andy won. He will be a good Governor.
@MAS1581. If Trump goes down this year and I pray everyday he does, Mitch would be best to retire. One of the reasons Blevins lost in Ky is because he insulted the public school teachers. What he didn’t know,since he isn’t a native, is how strong our teachers union is.We haven’t been a total red state all that long, but we need new blood in the party.
If Trump goes down, its because Mitch turned on him as well. For that to happen, he needs to see it as his best move and it will be nothing more than a last gasp for air for McConnell's career. Even if he does survive, it will be a democratic senate and all his power will be lost.
