That gave me a chuckle, ghandigirl.  My mother always said that too and I almost typed those exact words.

The sh*t has barely begun to hit the fan.  I think people are going to be shocked beyond what anyone can comprehend right now.  Occasionally I get an extremely strong wash of feelings about a situation and I had one today about indictments, perhaps influenced by what former prosecutors are saying.  I think there will be quite a few.

Hi All,

i just read the letter that AG Barr released summarizing the Mueller report for congress. I have to say that I felt disappointed when I read it but have a gut feeling that there is more to it than what he said. He worded it very carefully and it seemed quite partisan. To actually know what happened, we will only know when the actual report becomes public (fingers crossed). In the meantime, I expect a lot of chest beating amongst the politicians on the right.

I decided to pull a card for Mueller, Barr and Rosenstein and got the following:

Mueller: King of Swords reversed (a powerful man, part of the establishment)

Barr: Ten of Swords reversed (an inevitable ending to a situation?)

Rosenstein: Page of Swords reversed (manipulation?)

I thought it was notable that all 3 cards drawn were reversed Swords. Does anyone else have a take on this?

I don't have an intuitive take on it other than being horribly, horribly disappointed. It feels like whatever safeguards our democracy had, failed. Trump will get away with everything and that will just embolden him and future despots. I honestly feel as depressed and despondent of our future as I ever have in my life. It's just the worse possible outcome. Yes, the dems can fight to get the whole report, but Trump now has more power than ever and who's to say it will ever see the light of day? Even if it does, anything negative in it will be whitewashed over my the general conclusion that Muller could not charge Trump or ANY of his family with anything. I hope you all see more hope than I do.

JHolme I feel the same as you.  I believe we are at the beginning of a very, very low period which will not end for at least another decade.  Trump will use this to be reelected and then proceed to distroy what is left of our democracy.  His supporter are already saying they are OK with a dictatorship as long as Trump is at its head.  I believe this is the beginning of a true dictatorship in the US.  Trump will use this to get absolute power with the support of the Reps who were waiting for this report.  They will now all go full Trump and the people, like us, are screwed.  I am absolutely sick to my stomach.  So depressed and disappointed.

Yogagirl -- yes, exactly how I feel.

I'm so confused. What about all the FBI/Intelligence people who are supposed to be so strong and brilliant, Muller included, who would bring Trump down? Apparently not. Yes, this outcome will shore him up to an unimpenatrable state, I'm afraid. And they will steal the next election too.  How can a the US allow a foreign power to steal our democratic process like this? It seems like a clear act of war to me.

Honestly, I don't know how we can recover.  Maybe if the votes for dems are hugely overwhelming in 2020 they can overcome even Russian interference. But with all I read about voting machines, etc., I'm afraid.

I remember reading Baba Vanga's prophecies that Obama would be the last US president and feeling like it couldn't possible be true. But, unfortunately, now I can see it. With climate change worsening, we may enter a perpetual crisis state and whatever window we had to get rid of this authoritarian threat will have closed.

Sorry to be such a Debbie Downer, but this is a hard day.

If there is no collusion , why did so many people around trump plead guilty? Why did so many lie? And why are Cohen and Flynn getting reduced sentences for

cooperating? Cooperating with saying there was no collusion? That makes absolutely no sense.

Like you, JHolmes and Baba, the Barr letter to Congress is terribly disappointing and will lead to endless gloating from Trump and his die hard supporters.  It's absolutely nauseating.  Barr is highly partisan and is serving Trump and the Republican Party and he's trying to balance pleasing Trump with a report with barest conclusions without supporting evidence.    However, I am intrigued by the lack of information about Mueller's 600+ page report,  the lack of information that would tie together the connections between all the Mueller indictments,  and lack of information about the cases farmed out to state attorneys across the country.  There's not even an explanation for Manafort's activities like passing information to the Russians, all the lies about the Trump Tower meeting with Russians, Kushner's attempts to establish back channel communications with the Kremlin, etc.

Like you, Baba, I threw three cards on Mueller, Barr, and Rosenstein.  For Mueller, I threw the High Priestess.  He has all the knowledge about the investigation, but remains silent and mysterious like the high priestess.  My read is that he knows intuitively that Barr's report will not satisfy the Democrats in the House.  A process will unfold with summons to Barr, et. al. to testify.  Ultimately, Mueller may be summoned to testify himself and he will reveal everything he can legally reveal.  I think Mueller is caught in a hard place, knowing what he knows, what he suspects and the lack of evidence to prove it without a shadow of a doubt.  However, in looking at the Priestess card again, my eyes are drawn to her outspread arms and the enormous net that envelopes nearly 2/3rds of the card.  Mueller has cast his net far and wide.  Remember the Mueller report was required to address Russian interference in our election, possible collusion and obstruction of justice.  Whatever other crimes Mueller discovered along the way have gone out to other jurisdictions for prosecution.

For Barr, I threw the Five of Disks, Worry.  He worries about what will ultimately be revealed about the Mueller report and how his brief summary will hold up against the details.  In his card, I see the machinations of politics, the grinding gears of legal maneuvering as the process to reveal the truth about the Mueller report moves ahead.  He served his president, but did he serve his country?  He will not sleep well in the months ahead.

For Rosenstein, I threw the Ten of Cups, Satiety.  He is relieved that the Mueller investigation was able to come to a close.  I think, though, that there were impediments placed in Mueller's way.  Whether these impediments were placed by Rosenstein or Whittaker, I don't know.  I think Mueller had to stop the investigation now because of those impediments.

It will be very interesting to see how the SDNY and other judicial districts move ahead with their cases now.  Don't despair.

I'm sorry you feel this way JHolnes and Yogagirl, but all of the predictions we've been making on this site point towards a political and cultural turning point away from darkness in the decade to come. The process will be slow to unfold in the next couple of years, but it will pick up steam around 2023-24.

As for Barr's letter, its vague ambiguity confirms what many on this forum have been discussing lately; that we wouldn't find out the truth in one go, and that we have to be patient and wait for all the other machinations of the courts do their work. The US attorney's office in the southern district of New York (a district that is known for its political independence and non-partisanship) is picking up where Mueller left off, and much could yet be exposed by investigators there (parts of Mueller's investigation have also been farmed out to Washington D.C, the district of eastern Virginia, and the DA office in Los Angeles). Also, I don't think Republican demands to see the report in full are going to all die down; my feeling is the Mueller report will be a lightning rod for the rest of Trump's term, and congressional demands to see its entire contents will continue to bedevil the Trump Administration. I reserved my doubts about Barr and held out some hope that he would put country before party, so I am also disappointed. But his letter is hardly a "case closed" document, and those Trump acolytes who are popping the champagne right now are tempting fate.

As for fears about Trump being re-elected, polls have shown for quite a while that between 54 to 58% of the American electorate are decided against voting for Trump in 2020, and I don't see Barr's letter changing those numbers much. Add in the chance of a recession in 2020, and Trump's fortunes become even murkier.

I am also reminded how swiftly the SDNY moved to indict Manafort on multiple charges right after Manafort received such light sentences for his crimes.   That was no coincidence.  Unfortunately, we just have to endure this all playing out.  It's a challenging year for sure, but I remain optimistic about our country ultimately changing for the better.  We have to face the dark side of our national identity before we can change.

Don't worry sweet ones. Things are not as they might appear. Mercury is still in retro. The report does not exeronate him. It's actually the beginning of end. The other investigations will do T in, especially NY.  T has horrible astrological aspects now. Mercury goes direct Thursday.  Stay tuned....

I too, I'm disappointed with the report.  I followed Baba's lead and read some cards as well.  I used the Connolly tarot because I find it more positive than all the others I own and I think we can use that right now.

We are currently stuck and don't know where to go from here.  Crossing us is the Fool and his expression looked lost to me.  Using the Ryder Waite to clarify told me it's important for us to take a step back, and take the time to think things through and not react foolishly based on our disappointment, since one of two things could happen depending on the reaction: broken heart or Justice.

What was in the report is true based on Mueller's interpretation of the facts.  But I feel there is some kind of politic involved here, a secret but for the good of the American people.

This is an opportunity for a new beginning.  There is a resolution to the situation but we can't see it.  I got the Queen of Wands when asking for clarification and I don't know who that is.  But it's like we are afraid of rejoicing for the results of the investigation and resist uniting.  It's time for us to heal.

Edit:  The Dems need to b careful with all the different kinds of investigations on this, if they keep this story fresh in people's mind, they will lose the next election.  That is a gut feeling I had as I was shuffling the cards. But if the Dems work on their message for the 2020 elections, things would be more positive.

For the past two weeks I've been remembering a vision I had very early in 2018: Trump winning the 2020 elections.  I've since seen Obama at the pulpit in January 2021.  But that vision from early 2018 bugs me.  Edit The Dems need to thread lightly on this and talk about things other than these investigations.  They need to follow Nancy Pelosi's lead.

That is my interpretation of the cards I read on this subject.  Let's look ahead and unite.  Trump will get what's coming to him, if not in this world, the next one!

"If it's what you say, I love it." Of course they colluded. We will get the truth eventually. We just need to be patient.

Coyote I don't see the Republican demanding to have thereport made public.  They will try to distroy it.  It is the Dems who want the report made public.  As for the will of the people lets not forget the people want Hillary to be President but she's not.  I don't put anything past the Republicans passing new laws in  the Senate to limit voting rights.  Plus remember China has given Ivanka the rights to voting machines made in China.  The best SDNY can do is charge the Trump business with crimes.  Tax avsion and fraud will end the organization but it will be easy to reestablish once Trump s dictator.  I too hate to be Debbie Downer but I have a really really awful feeling that this is the end of our democracy.  We will be a full on facist state before the next election if there even is another election.  There very well may not be.  I know I sound defeated because I am.  I am 67 years old and have cancer.  I don't see theworld being a very nice place forthe next few decades and I am selfish enough that I hate the thought of dying in this world.

Yoga girl, I’m also 67, but I don’t have cancer. However, I do fear dying before

the country gets turned around. I feel so sick .

i hope you heal and we both live to see America return.

Ah, Yogagirl,  thank you for sharing.  I feel your grief and despair and also find this to be a difficult day.   My dear friend,  you will feel better and we will all of us get through this.  Our minds go so quickly to the worst case scenario, don't they?  My gut feels differently.  My gut says this is just part of the journey and that we will be okay.  I honestly don't understand how this works, but I am learning to listen to this inner wisdom.   I am sending you my heartfelt love and support, my friend.

Lawrence, I have never hoped and prayed as hard as I am that you are right!  Barr is a partisan hack who was hand-picked by Trump to do exactly what he did with this letter.  I still absolutely believe that many are indicted under seal.

I'd to bring up a point about the word "collusion". Conspiring/colluding to "win" the presidency is not the same as being a compromised asset. So sure, maybe there was no collusion, but he may still be compromised by the Russians. My question is -- was the latter within the scope of the Mueller investigation?

I was wondering what will happen going forward? I think that there is the financial part that is yet to be released. When more is investigated, it will implicate the Trump administration.

Thanks Polarbear. You are correct. Everyone needs to remember that this is Barr's spin on the report today and that he never consulted with Mueller before releasing his letter. Partisan hack protecting a con. Not a surprise. Please everyone remember the day after the midterms it looked like the Dems didn't do that well in the House...but they did. Give it time. Patience my friends.

I think so.  I think the Mueller report is really bad and that is why there was such a delay before the Barr letter.  If it completely exonerates Trump, then release it immediately and end all speculation.
