Does someone have any predictions related to her regarding the 2020 election as she has declared she is running for president.

Thanks for bringing this up in a new topic. I'd like to have a topic for all the potential candidates.

I saw Williamson's name this morning in the Washington Post as running.  I threw a card and saw that the GOP would be thrilled if she got traction. They'd paint her as a lightweight. My first reaction was not favorable and I thought of her as a lightweight too but I need to know more.

I loved her best selling book Return to Love, which was her takeaway from the Course in Miracles.

I've never seen her give a workshop and it's likely she's an amazing teacher with her heart in the right places.

It's early but so far I like Kamala Harris.

Marianne announced that she's considering running; it's an exploratory commission. Here's the video of her public statement. (Jeanne, I hope you'll watch if you haven't.)

Around 1999, I read her book, The Healing of America. It's potent and prophetic and deeply inspirational. It's also the only Marianne Williamson book I own.

So, I'm inspired by her announcement, if only because it reveals there's an impulse and an arrow of energy pointing us toward the higher path.

Marianne may not become president (and may not be the person for the job), but I believe she's meant to play an important role in our national healing. I've never been to one of her workshops, and am not a student of her spiritual material. But I can say that she isn't a lightweight; she's a widely published author and international bestseller; a world-renown teacher and lecturer; an activist, organizer, and founder of multiple non-profits which do vital work. And she serves on the Board of organizations working on some of our country's biggest grand challenges—poverty, peace-building, and serving low-income people suffering from diseases like AIDs. She's also a leader in the women-in-politics space.

I understand what the religious right and the scientific-rational middle will say to dismiss her, but here's what I know:

First, the United States of America is a Cancer, born on the Fourth of July. Marianne Williamson is also a Cancer, born on the 8th. I don't doubt that she feels our national soul vibration quite clearly. In addition, our collective North Node just moved into Cancer (on 11/6), where it will be until 2020. The North Node points to where we're trying to go/what our souls are hoping to integrate. (This isn't a prediction about the presidency. It simply confirms for me that she has a role to play.)

Second, America's preparing to face its Pluto return very soon—around 2022. We can already feel it kicking up. Pluto only returns to its position in the birth chart once every ~ 250 years. When this happens, TREMENDOUS CHANGE occurs. National and political structures collapse, markets crumble, methods and means of trade and commerce explode ... or entirely new ones are formed. These dates are less about rebellions and uprisings than they are about the formation of new epochs. And as we see, the last time Pluto swung around, a brand new democracy was formed.

Marianne seems to hint at this timing in the video. We're at a critical moment in history where the dream of our nation could very well fall into the hands of autocrats and oligarchs. Under Trump, America could see herself sold for pennies on the dollar to Russia, China, the Saudis, or chopped up and split between all three. This is the cliff face over which we stand as Pluto comes round again demanding transformation or death.

So, another establishment safe-bet in 2020 ain't gonna cut it. We have to draw down the highest light we can see. We have to stand at the edge of that cliff and find a way to fly, godda*&it.

Thanks for posting her video and for the information, Vestralux.  She's inspiring and beautifully spoken.  I threw some cards on her and she gets approving nods from spirits  -- queen of wands came up twice indicating a powerful and creative mother figure, as well as other cards of positivity and light.  In the video she shows she can inspire which is what we need right now.

Interesting that she is a cancer since Queen of Wands in the Thoth deck is a combination of water and fire and the card is ruled by cancel and shows the hieroglyph of cancer in the center of her breast.

Her point about our returning to the Revolutionary War era of King George is what the nation needs to hear.  It is a point I've thought about many times since this far Right movement began back in the 1980's.  I hope she can appeal to voters on both sides of the political spectrum.

"And there appeared a great wonder in heaven; a woman clothed with the sun,

and the moon under her feet, and upon her head a crown of twelve stars ..."

The instant I pulled up the image for the Queen of Wands in the Thoth deck, I was astonished. (I've been getting the distinct message that I need to get this deck for a long time. Done.) The image it depicts nearly knocked me down; it's the perfect representation of the Lady Liberty (i.e., the goddess Libertas/ Ishtar/ Semiramis) that I saw when I read BlueBelle's description of her tarot reading on Mueller from March, which she posted again a couple of days ago. She'd pulled The Star card in that reading.

I explained that I keep drawing the same card in readings on Mueller. When I see The Star's hopeful presence there, I get a profound image of the Spirt of America, or Lady Liberty. As I was wrapping up that post, I saw a powerful image of her beautiful on-fire spirit seated peacefully beside a lion. Robert Mueller is an evolved Leo, symbolized by the lion, and in the tarot, a goddess with a glowing crown—symbolized by the lemniscate, or infinity—peacefully stands with a lion in classic representations of The Strength card. Democracy is embattled, but she's holding strength.

She's an infinite spirit of wisdom and compassion, justice and mercy. And her guardian and familiar is the great cat. Whether a lion or a leopard, they are true kings of their domain and noble warriors.

Here's what I've just discovered:

Before the Statue of Liberty was built, she'd been called Columbia (originally "Columbina"), for which the District of Columbia was named. She was similarly represented by a torch-bearing female deity called the Goddess of Democracy, Spirit of Democracy, or the Goddess of Liberty and Freedom which was created in Tiananmen Square during the 1989 protests. This original 33-ft high papier-mâché version was destroyed only five days later by Chinese People's Liberation Army tanks.

The Queen of Wands is associated with the first Heh (×”) in the Tetragrammaton (four-letter Hebrew name of God). I found these associations for Heh:

- window, opening, aperture;

- desire to be, to exist;

- the sighting of a star;

- to breathe, become.

I could go on for paragraphs discussing the symbolism on this particular card, including her crown of 12 rays (or 12 stars), so often depicted in goddess iconography and in Christian images of the Virgin Mary. And the significance of the number 12 itself! And the image of her wand in this card, which Crowley would surely have pulled from Dionysus (though my own association for its cone tip connects with the pineal gland and its potential role in awakening). Then there's the significance of the vesica piscis. And her obvious connection to both water and fire, the "volatilized essence" which alchemists have been seeking for unknown millennia in the east, and at least since Mary the Jewess in the West.

I don't have enough time to stay and discuss any of these symbols in more detail (and maybe no one else is as interested as I am) but suffice it to say that seeing this card come up in your reading has blown me away. Thank you for sharing it, Jeanne. The spirals of cascading synchronicity for me in all of this is so awe-inspiring that I could barely type this post!

I have no idea what any of this suggests for Marianne herself, but I believe we're being called from on high to align with the Spirit of Democracy. Difficult times are ahead and we have to stand in the energy of hope. We have to envision our world made whole, because if we allow ourselves to succumb to their chaos campaign, which is the manipulation of tyranny, then The World will have flipped upside down. And we cannot let that happen.

She's officially running:  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SIBNOro0vks

My idealistic self wishes she was going to be the Democratic candidate. But my realistic self says there's no chance. Then again, if Trump can do it, why can't she? We can say that about everybody now. I hope she at least gets far in the primaries and is able to influence the discourse.

Thanks Demeter!

Interesting start and many more possibilities to just how big the candidate playing field could be!

Everyone should watch that YouTube Demeter posted. She lays out what has happened to our country and how it needs to change. She's the very definition of heart warrior.

I've always loved Marianne Williamson and have 5 or 6 of her books purchased in the 90's through the 2000's. I know there are many newer ones as she she became a political warrior as well.

I can still remember her very first appearance on Oprah and watched her weekly appearances. She was always a bright light, a natural teacher, speaker and leader of the whole movement of that entire era and beyond.

Oprah referred to her as a close friend on daily speedial. She kept a prayer that Marianne wrote just for her on her night table as her spiritual advisor and a mentor in many respects.

She is a strong woman and extremely intelligent, articulate, and wise. And yes, a true spiritual warrior.

It wouldn't surprise me one bit to learn that Oprah has been encouraging her to run and would back her every step of the way. Many saw Oprah as a candidate but it obviously wasn't right for her.

But I bet they'd be a force to be reckoned with for a good run at this.

I only wish America was as ready for her, as she is to be there for this country.

And yes, everything should watch the video. It's very powerful.

May everyone open their hearts and mind to possibilities.

I like Marianne Williamson's writing, but this just seems like hubris to me, honestly, albeit well-intentioned. We've already seen what happens when someone with zero political experience becomes President.

There are plenty of caring, compassionate individuals running already who do have political experience, including several women, that I am looking forward to hearing from more. They made the same points about corporations controlling the government, about the need for universal healthcare, a living minimum wage, etc. but... actually have *done* things to get the ball rolling on them politically.

I hear you wEyesHaveit and I initially had the same reaction until I watched her and realized that by declaring her candidacy she and others like her will feed into the national conversation. No one other than her hard core followers would listen to her ideas unless she puts herself in the role of candidate.  So I was glad she got up there.

I did watch the speech, and the points she makes- there's been corporate takeover of the government, that we should have universal healthcare, that we should have a $15 minimum wage, that we spend too much on the military, that we should invest in our kids, that Donald Trump is the result of a corrupt system, that race has played a longstanding role in our history, that we need to look at our history as Americans, that we need to fight climate change, that we need to tackle the establishment, the phrase "our democracy is under assault," that she's not in it for herself, that we need to band together in order to tackle the big issues- that's straight up ripped out of Bernie Sanders' and Elizabeth Warren's books and speeches, and probably some other politicians' too. In some cases, word for word, including the statistics about trickle-down economics, Reagan, the budget, etc. I mean, the points made are not wrong, and it's a very inspiring speech, but... they did it first. And have taken concrete steps politically to actually improve things. And are running. Would her campaign take votes away from them?

The only thing that's different is 1) the mention of "spiritual rot" (which is very Marianne) and 2) her suggestion of reparations for slavery (which isn't a bad idea, but will likely not go over well, in, say, poverty-stricken Appalachia, as Trump has convinced many poor whites that minorities have advantages over them or "get free stuff." I hate to say it).

Wow you really did watch her speech.  I agree that Bernie has been saying all this for the longest time. He has always been my favorite. He's never veered ever from his message, not since he was a very young man.

We studied trickle down economics back in the seventies. I even worked on a federal study where we visited areas of the country where large amounts of money were funneled to see if any of it trickled down. It didn't, although we weren't surprised. I had a journalist friend who wrote articles about how the rich spend their money.  It tends to go abroad.

I know she didn't say anything that hasn't been said, but it has gotten lost to some people and new voices need to say it. Many currently well informed people have no knowledge of  these issues that you point out have been around for decades. Yes her speech is derivative. But it's good and essential that they be regurgitated for audiences as she and others have done. We need all kinds of voices.

I don't think she will garner enough votes to detract from other weightier candidates. She will fade out after the first primary. But she will have gotten people to listen who never heard Bernie or Warren.

When a lot of people come up with the same idea at the same time, i prefer not to judge which came first the chicken or the egg but to be grateful for the purpose and the gift of both.

When our collective consciousness is as intense as it is decisively now and so many of us are working in the light to uplift and raise us to a high vibration, we all have the opportunity to tune into it and become part of its positivity in growth and change.

Each of these candidates spent years in political activism in one form or another. Many have formed or support coalitions and political action groups that we usually don't even hear about, but they've all been working towards a common goal and  just coming in to the center from a different pathway.

Personally, i might feel this one or that one has more ideas I agree with, or a better platform or chance to succeed,  but it plays out in the end in the way that most benefits that which we are lacking, pulling back the curtain, draining our collective swamp, coming out of our caves of illusion and seeing and admitting and asking for at-one-ment for the healing of Mother Earth and all of her inhabitants.

It's been a rough couple of years with a lot of disappointment,  anger, frustration, and disagreement among everyone, everywhere.

But by bit, we are seeing and getting to know our true selves and all that makes us human. May we continue to grow, learn and accept our differences with eyes of compassion.

And may each of find his or her champion to root for, because that is what we'll do in the end, anyway.

Here is another Marianne Williamson video. It let's us know her a bit more. I think that we need to not write her off for lack of political experience. Unfortunately the article with it yes-buts. Marriane Williamson has much broader experience in a lot more areas than just political. She knows what she is talking about. The most important thing is that leadership requires someone who inspires people to act in the right direction. She does that very well. She addresses that in the video. True there are plenty of candidates talking about economy and equality and children and environment and immigration and guns. They all know the issues. What they lack is the spiritual grounding that she has. I don't feel it with them. They are flighty - smiling for votes in sound bites. I highly object to the media that has been blowing off her campaign because she is a spiritual leader. Some have disdainfully called her a"guru." She isn't calling herself that. She's just a woman who speaks well and isn't afraid to speak of love as the energy that it takes to turn our country around. Fear is behind all of our ills that are manifested as lack, neglect, and hatred. Yes we have seen that a candidate with no political experience can be "deplorable." A candidate like Richard Nixon with tons of political experience can be deplorable too.

The Marianne Williamson video that was mentioned above but not posted was prompted by reading some of the posts on the website. I am a huge fan of hers. I want her to be the next President - not just an important "part of the conversation."

Some people are just seeing her for the first time in her campaign opening video. It's great but narrow. The video that I was trying to send is an interview with three newspaper editors. I found it when I looked for why the mainstream media doesn't include her when they list the candidates. That video explains much more including what she thinks about having a President with no political experience. Some people call her non-viable, a light-weight, a New Age spiritual guru into woo-woo. I hoped that the video would debunk those thoughts. Unfortunately the article with the video "yes-buts" itself. It points out that she studied acting so maybe... I am not sure it would have served her well anyway.

I found another article that describes her being angry and yelling "I'm famous now" to her staff. She fired some people. Of course it is out of context and it doesn't describe what the staff was doing that prompted the behavior. This makes me wonder if she is another Trump or Amy Klobuchar though. Being "famous now" however, could be about how she is presented to the public and not about arrogance. I have been aware of her and I have seen enough interviews and presentations to know that her message is consistent over 35 years and that is what is important.

There is one problem that I do have with her campaign though. A lot of people don't like that she promotes reparations for slavery. She wants to give money to black leaders so that they can decide what's needed and distribute it in education programs and such. One white guy says he could use some money for a car. Others call her a white woman who hates white people. She would say "pray for them." I think that her heart is in a good place but she's not going to do her campaign any good by keeping reparations in it. We already tried Affirmative Action programs. She talks about helping Israel and the Palestinian people come together in a loving way by meeting them on a deeper level. The racial divide in the US needs something like that rather than money.

As for the people who concern themselves with lack of political experience, she tells us in the video that was blocked that it is not a requirement for the job. The founding fathers knew that. The first presidents had no political experience. In the video she tells us that those who have political experience are "clinicians." They have technical know how to pass laws. She will have advisors for that. What is required of the president is leadership that inspires in the right direction. That is what she does.
