Just a heads up, as this isn't being widely reported, but I read in American Banker (a trade publication) this morning that the FBI has sent an alert to U.S. banks warning that there may be an attack on the ATM system soon.   Here's an excerpt from the article (full link at the end):

The FBI sent a confidential alert to banks late last week, warning that a rash of ATM theft is likely to hit soon.

"The FBI has obtained unspecified reporting indicating cybercriminals are planning to conduct a global automated teller machine cashout scheme in the coming days, likely associated with an unknown card issuer breach and commonly referred to as an 'unlimited operation,' " the notice said.

It also appears that the MSNBC and Washington Post websites *may* have had some sort of cyber attack today.   I have nothing confirmed on that; I'm just going on what I'm seeing on those two sites (comments sections down on Washington Post; MSNBC security status changed without warning).

Just be alert and careful about the internet.   I think there is a good chance that we will see more of this sort of activity in the days ahead, especially as Mueller continues and we get closer to the election.

Apparently that's already happened, and it was mostly in India:
