In the same spirit as fantasy baseball, and also with keeping in the tradition of envisioning positive outcomes, I thought it would be fun if we each cast the Executive Branch the way we would each do it if we could. This is just for fun, so aside from your own casting, keep comments to a minimum. We don't have to remotely agree on this, but I feel like if we each envision such positivity, it can't hurt and might help, both for how we're all feeling, and possibly for the outcomes later on. They don't all have to be current candidates. I'll start:
Prez:Â Liz Warren
VP:Â Pete Buttigieg
AG: Kamala Harris
Secy State:Â Maxine Waters
Treasury: Michael Bloomberg
Commerce: Andrew Yang
Interior: Stacey Abrams
HUD: Cory Booker
HHS: Marianne Williamson
Energy: Michael Bennet
Labor: Amy Klobuchar
Transportation: Deval Patrick
Agriculture: Dolores Huerta
Education: Bernie Sanders
DHS: Julian Castro
DNI: Adam Schiff
Defense:Â I don't have a name for this one, but I'd pick someone high level military who has served for a long time under both parties and who has been on a battlefield.
Â
DEFENSE:Â How about General Wesley Clark?
I love this! Â I love Laura's picks. I want a key role for Bernie. Â But what? Â Who should take Kavanaugh's place after he is impeached?Â
I gave Bernie education! that's pretty key! Please share your own picks, again this is just for fun. As for Kavanaugh, it could be Kamala, or frankly even an empty can of beer in a judicial robe will suffice.
This is so fun. You have brightened my day. Â Yes Bernie as Secretary of Eduction could be good. but I'd switch him with Marianne Williamson. She'd be amazing in education and the greening of children. Bernie would be pushing to raise the minimum income level for indigent families, Â and a cost of living increase in minimum wage, finding ways to raise living standards for poor and middle class. Better social services.Â
Andrew Cuomo for AG. Â The dude is ruthless. He'd prosecute trump and all his lackeys, and their mothers to boot.
This is my dream team for a start.
I couldn't get the whole cabinet. It is weird that I never realized until now that Homeland Security was a cabinet position. Â For those here who are younger, Homeland Security didn't exist until 9/11. Â Just as the Republicans put their profit-making corporations in charge of the departments that were designed to protect the country from those predatory corporations, i.e., they put the fox in the henhouse, I put those who are devoted to the public good in charge. Well duh!Â
President: Elizabeth WarrenÂ
Chief of Staff: Beto O'Rourke. Â
V.P: Mayor Pete - He'd do more as chief of staff or Speaker of the House, but being in V.P. was the extra push that Liz needed to get elected.Â
Secretary of State: Barack Obama: my favorite pick.Â
EPA--Bill McKibbon, one of my heroes
Education: Michele Obama - She doesn't want to be in politics, but she won't turn down this chance to  lift children of color out of poverty through education, she has the passion to make a difference.Â
Treasury: Paul Krugman, Nobel laureate in Economics, critical voice of GOP policies. Â
HHS - Bernie Sanders (to set up Medicare for All)
Transportation: Joe Biden - No reason, just thought he should get a job.
Homeland Security: Alexandria Ocasio Cortez - Her first initiative will be to abolish ICE and return Homeland Security to its mission: to protect rather than to use this office as an excuse to persecute.Â
Energy: James Hansen, climate scientist - He's already 78 and retired, but this former NASA head of climate science  been the most prescient voice in climate science since the 1970's.Â
AG: Kamala
HUD: Deval Patrick
Interior: Wes Jackson

Stacy Abrams-Â Chief of Elections Security
Interesting about Obama as Secretary of State! Several months ago I had a split-second vision of AOC as president sometime in the future, with Obama as Secretary of State.
I love this exercise in positivity!Â
Secretary of State: Susan Rice
Secretary of Education: Jahana Hayes (Awarded National Teacher of the Year in 2016. There's some great footage of her receiving the award from Obama).
Ok here's my picks - one can dream and collective dreams can come true :)
President: Elizabeth WarrenÂ
Vice President: Adam Schiff or Mayor Pete
Chief of Staff: Mayor Pete or Beto O'Rourke
Secretary of State: Barack Obama: my favorite pick too.Â
EPA--Bill McKibbon
Education: Michele Obama or Jahana Hayes
Treasury: Paul Krugman
HHS - Bernie Sanders
Transportation: Cory Booker or Beto O'Rourke
Homeland Security: Alexandria Ocasio CortezÂ
Energy: James Hansen,
AG: Kamala Harris
HUD: Deval Patrick
Interior: Stacy Abrams
Treasury: Michael Bloomberg
Labor: Amy Klobuchar
Agriculture: Camila Chavez
Commerce: Andrew Yang
Senate Majority leader: Dick Durbin or Cory Booker
Speaker of the house: Cheri Bustos (If Pelosi steps down)
Â
Future leadership positions I like Eric Swalwell, AOC and Richard Blumenthal
I would choose Michael Bennet as a education secretary as he was superintendent of Denver schools and made huge progress. Not sure of Amy Ks foreign affairs experience but I think she has great diplomatic skills and would love to see her as Secy of State.Â
Trust me on this, if Warren is POTUS she will never in a million years pick Bloomberg for Treasury.Â
I love your choices! Also would love to see Castro in Homeland security
I wish I could have "liked" Stacey Abrams as Chief of Elections Security a hundred times! Yesssss!
