Bloomberg is saying he will run if Biden drops out. He's a centrist with a wide base. When I read this article, I got chills. Not in a bad way but in a this could actually manifest feeling. Someone predicted a dark horse running in 2020.

The positives -- Mike Bloomberg is a smart guy. He's not a religious nut, is socially progressive and actually built the business that made him a billionaire.  He's beholden to no one.  He's his own man.

When he succeeded Giuliani as NYC mayor it was such a relief not to have a narcissistic nincompoop hogging every local TV segment.  I think he was a better mayor than Giuliani, but not as good as he could have been. And he's mean. He has a reputation for having a short fuse, and thinks he's better/more important than he really is.

NYC had/has a 2-term limit for mayors, which he got the city council to change to 3 terms, but only to apply to him. That pretty much cemented my dislike of him. That said, I'd take him over the dumpster fire in a second, and I do think he'd make mincemeat out of trump in a debate, but I just don't think he's kind enough to be president.

I met him once, at the annual immigrant week open house at Gracie Mansion, and in the less than one minute exchange we had (posing for a picture) he was appallingly rude. He didn't think I was anyone he needed to be nice to. I was a nobody to him.  I don't like people like that.

Here's hoping Bloomberg thinks better of it. I think we've all had quite enough of rich white dudes acting like they are riding to our rescues, when in fact it's just more of the same b.s.

Yeah, no more "billionaires", please.   I used to laugh, back in 2016, when people would say that the Turnip was "too rich to be bought off".   If he was *that* rich, he's already been bought off.

I don't think Bloomberg can be bought. He's a serious philanthropist and I do believe he has a moral compass, it's just that he thinks he knows better than the little people. That disqualifies him in my book, but, again, if it's between him and the dumpster (which I don't think will be the case) it's an easy choice.

Bloomberg announced today is getting ready to register for Alabama. Warren tweeted welcoming him into the race.

*The following does not reflect my personal beliefs. It's a read of the current timelines. As always, there are multiple timelines that can break out with one or two always being the dominant (most likely). Future is determined by many factors.

For a while now, I've been sensing three possible outcomes:

1. Trump wins.

2. Male P / Female VP Dems

3. Results of election suspended for some reason

Whatever the outcome, the USA is in for a very rough ride over the next 10 years with different struggles and conflicts becoming more dominant than others. Everyone will be affected in some way. Strong local communities will be vital.

For a while, I've been seeing Bloomberg. I have never felt Biden being able to pull through and win. A while back, there was a remote viewing of DC either in 2024 or 2025 and someone saw an older man in the presidency but he was a manager type and very stoic about the events that were unfolding (or did unfold). I saw/felt Bloomberg in a navy blazer and sweater. Right now I feel strongly that the Dem ticket will emerge Bloomberg/Warren and while I don't see it as a clear victory by an stretch. There is a strong likelihood it could manifest as a timeline. But an energetic shift is taking place.

I've been reading the comments section and how folks view Bloomberg. He could be the dark horse Jeanne was seeing and the fact that some here have not seen a "real Dem" winning - even though he is running as a dem. Would make sense on what some have seen. I really want Warren, Bernie, Pete etc. but I'm seeing this having energy.  (not my desire - just energy) Thoughts?

What was funny in a way was what Elizabeth Warren tweeted out to Bloomberg, and she included this website to see what specific millionaires/billionaires would pay under her plan!

I still don't see who could beat trump. Bloomberg is just another rich guy.

Her calculator was definitely a strategic move (well-planned campaign tactic- kudos to the person who came up with the idea) targeting Bloomberg (as an olive branch in fact). B is a major philanthropist who is very focused on climate change as well as education. Bloomberg responded to Warren something to the effect- she has some great ideas but we need to discuss how to implement realistically (meaning compromise). B/W ticket represents a compromise between vastly opposing interests.

I think these billionaires are afraid of Warren and Sanders. I hope to hec that it's Warren and Sanders or Warren and Mayor Pete or Sanders and someone.  If the orange nightmare is no longer a factor because he's gonzo then I think the whole thing can play out differently.  But I do think that until the Orange nightmare is gone the energy is in flux. This is the Dems race to lose if they don't impeach him in the house soon.

I also want to add that if we get to the convention and no one has 50 % of the pledge delegates the best things for the progressives would be do have Warren and Sanders unite the ticket as one, combine the pledge delegates so they don't have to worry about the super delegates going for Biden.

Bloomberg officially filed for Alabama and is in the race. I'm not quite getting my own intuition around this strange course of events but this election will most likely be like none we have ever seen before.

The problem is not that we don't have enough billionaires or "pragmatists" in government. What problem Bloomberg thinks he's solving is completely beyond me, but it's pretty self-evident that he would lose, in embarrassing fashion. He's just Hillary Clinton without the experience.
