Tomorrow, December 4th, a new civil trial against Jeffrey Epstein is scheduled to begin in Palm Beach County Circuit Court. Epstein's initial criminal trial ended in 2008, and was widely believed to have ended in a a grave miscarriage of justice. Unbeknownst to his victims, a non-prosecution agreement was secretly cut by prosecutors which greatly minimized Epstein's liability and sentencing. He skipped through his sentence and despite being a registered sex offender, he still flies everywhere by private jet and no one's been required to track his whereabouts.

This time around, it's expected that dozens of Epstein's victims (there are believed to be hundreds), all of whom were minors at the time of their abuse, will finally be allowed to openly address the court and therefore the public (this will be a televised trial), sharing details of what they suffered.

Epstein had famous, high-powered attorneys supporting him back in the aughts, including Ken Starr and Alan Dershowitz, Trump's favorite TV attorney today. Dershowitz, who continues to represent Epstein, was also accused by at least one of the victims.

Alex Acosta, Trump's current labor secretary, was serving as U.S. attorney for Miami in 2008. He's primarily responsible for cutting Epstein's sweetheart deal. Democrats are seeking a DOJ investigation into what Acosta did for Epstein and why.

Jeffrey was a friend or close associate of many powerful people, including Donald Trump, Bill Clinton, and Prince Andrew, Duke of York, all of whom have also been accused of sex crimes. Trump attended a party with Epstein in 1994, where he was later alleged to have raped a 13-year-old girl in a "savage sexual attack." Epstein was implicated in raping the same child, but the 2016 court case brought against Trump was dropped just four days before the November 2016 presidential election. The complainant said she dropped her suit because of numerous physical and death threats made against her and her family.

This will be a year of light being shone in the dark—with an opportunity for justice. I'm sending the victims my love and know all of you will too. Their journey's been painful and dark and isn't quite over, but the truth always outs.

Note: It's coming to light that the deal that Acosta cut in '08 not only offered immunity to Epstein against federal prosecution, but also offered the same immunity to any "potential coconspirators."

That is absolutely insane

This comes from tonight's airing of Rachel Maddow (I'm watching the recording right now). Professor Marci Hamilton, University of Pennsylvania (also "CEO and Academic Director at CHILD USA, an interdisciplinary think tank to prevent child abuse and neglect"), appeared on the show. She says that this case is no different than the systemic sexual abuses covered up the Catholic Church, except that this one doesn't involve clergy. Still a situation of powerful men and their powerful associates, willing to conceal evidence and contravene justice.

Also, in my initial post I meant to credit the Miami Herald for their brilliant work in uncovering the truth of the original plea deal, investigating the cases behind so many of the victims, as well as offering those young women a platform to speak.

Here's a link to the 2016 court filing: Jane Doe vs. Donald J. Trump and Jeffrey E. Epstein.

"Plaintiff was subject to acts of rape, sexual misconduct, criminal sexual acts, sexual abuse, forcible touching, assault, battery, intentional and reckless infliction of emotional distress, duress, false imprisonment, and threats of death and/or serious bodily injury by theDefendants that took place at several parties during the summer months of 1994... During this period, Plaintiff was a minor of age 13 and was legally incapable under New York law of consenting to sexual intercourse and the other sexual contacts detailed herein."

I listened to her show this morning.  I'm beyond livid with the actions of Acosta, Epstein, and the people associated with this.  I've posted up on my Facebook page and a private facebook page about this event so to shine a light on it with people I know.  Those poor girls.

I'm so glad you're shining group light on it, Codyroo. I have a particular and personal passion around the issue of serial sexual abuse, child trafficking, and systems of power which enable, condone, and openly support it, so this story has been heavy on my mind since before Trump took office.

I've long and faithfully believed that the nation would eventually be forced to look at some very dark truths, and I hope this (along with the Catholic Church exposure) is just the beginning of that. It's not just about Jeffrey Epstein and what he did to countless young girls—although that would be enough!—or even how he was allowed to get away with it. It's the terrible truth about systems of power—wealthy, "important" men and the women who aid and abet them.

Donald Trump is currently the most powerful leader of the free world. Regardless of settlement, I'm hopeful the lid gets blown off his past deeds very soon. Mid-May to mid-July 2019 aren't looking good for him astrologically (related to revelations, betrayals, truth coming to light, and other disabling aspects). So, I'm hopeful that the testimony of Michael Cohen, in particular (and possibly David Pecker and others), along with all that potential evidence seized from Cohen's office can and will be used in a legitimate case to expose a powerful pedophile ring, like they've done in the United Kingdom and Australia.

For anyone who's interested, do a search and check out the two testimonials on YouTube about Trump's alleged rape of a 13-year old girl at one of Epstein's sex parties.  One testimonial is by Jane Doe a/k/a Katie Johnson (the girl who is now a grown woman) and the other testimonial is by the woman who recruited and paid Johnson to go to the party and who also witnessed her alleged rape.  I watched these videos a couple of years ago, around the time of Trump's election, and found them credible, creepy and deeply disturbing.   One particularly horrifying detail is Johnson's claim that Trump told her she reminded him of his daughter.  There's also a photo floating around that compares images of Johnson and Ivanka around the time of the alleged rape, and their likeness is remarkable.

Riddle me this.  How is it possible people actually believed Hillary was running a child sex trafficking business out of a pizza parlor, and the very same people elected a genuinely sleezy sexual predator/pedophile? Yes, VestraLux, it's "absolutely insane," as well as a sickening and totally absurd situation.  I still don't understand why someone wasn't jumping up and down about Trump's alleged rape and why it wasn't a major headline and show-stopper.  Rooting for Johnson and all the other victims to finally be heard  and for Trump, Epstein and all their rich-guy defenders to be outed.

I was living in NYC up until a few years ago and worked near Trump Tower. The rape of the 13 year old girl- and it was rumored to have taken place in Ivanka's bedroom had been well-circulated. I was there for 10 years, I don't remember when I actually heard it- before his presidential run for sure. He was known as a powerful sleaze who had c list celebrity and corrupt politician parties where lots of eastern European "models" were around to meet these men. I remember hearing about the rape and thinking, when you're rich you get away with literally anything. Rape is often so hard to prove for anyone, but when you're famous and wealthy you get a pass. i.e. Harvey Weinstein and Bill Cosby. People often believe what they want to believe- it keeps them safe and it's easy. I have family members who hated Bill Clinton like it was their religion citing his infidelity, and then when Trump's reputation was exposed their line was "well, I believe people can change". It's a head scratcher.

Morning Joe just featured a segment with Julie Brown, the Miami Herald investigative reporter who interviewed 80 underaged girls (now all young women) who allege sex abuse by Epstein.  They claim Epstein was insatiable and had to have two or three new young girls every day. One of the girls says she was even directed to have sex with Alan Dershowitz, which of course he denies.  The talking heads on Morning Joe all heard rumors about these underage sex crimes in 2016 and they expected them to be exposed.  All were perplexed about how and why it got completely covered up.  It was suggested that Epstein's close personal friendships with Trump and Bill Clinton might have had something to do with it.

I read about this in the Miami Herald the day that it broke earlier this week. I felt absolute rage and disgust on behalf of all of the young girls that these old men took advantage of. I think that it is going to take some time for all of the chickens to come home to roost on this, but I think that they will eventually. I was discouraged that Epstein once again managed to avoid having some of the victims testify this week by settling the case and throwing more money at it,  but I am encouraged that there is bipartisan support for an investigation into how the case was handled by Acosta originally. When the list of men who took advantage of these girls finally becomes public, it will be big and I truly hope that justice will finally be done. We need to send light to all of the victims for their healing.

A  constant with the Republicans is that they accuse their opponents of doing what they themselves do.

They reveal their inner lives this way.  The Hillary emails, the Hillary child sex trafficking ring, the Kerry swift boat lies,  except in that case, Bush Jr., Cheney, Wolfowitz, and later Trump all were draft dodgers who avoided seeing combat altogether.

Jeanne, this is my biggest, craziest question when that all came out at the same time as Donald's taped conversation about access to women.

All I could think was we are open to our own belief systems and closed to others.

Our meters and our meter readers are very, very different!

Boggles my mind just engaging in conversations with others!

Love, light, and healing prayers,
💜 MIchele
