@deetoo

I love that film ("About Time")! I also enjoyed the book "The Time Traveler's Wife", and one of my favorite books of all time is "Time and Again" (Finney). And then there's always "Man in the High Castle"...but I digress...

I'm not a senior citizen yet, but certainly I am "a woman of a certain age". I think most of us with these abilities/penchants/interests don't ripen until menopause.  We are hags, in the best sense of the word, with all our wisdom and experience.

Namasté!

Ok so I'm a bit of an oldie too (next year big 60) and my husband and I have always loved watching time travel related TV shows together. We used to LOVE:  Early Edition (1996), Flash Forward, Quantum Leap, Journeyman, Star Trek Next Generation and Timeless.  I am looking forward to seeing the one you mentioned above: "About Time".

I feel like I am less worried about what others think about me, but I also now see that a lot of people who were friends have either moved away and pulled away or have crossed over/passed.  My best friend does live near me but my social circles have definitely shrunk.  Sometimes it does get lonely, especially because of also being someone who (like you and many others here on this site) think and feel differently from the average person.  This site has given me a place to "hang" with those who do and I'm very grateful :) Thank you!

@laura-f, I totally agree with you about menopause.  It was quite an awakening for me.  Also very liberating.  Yes, I am a hag!  I also like to think of us "women of a certain age" as Crone Goddesses.  I just looked up hags and crones, and it said that the Crone is the third and final aspect of the three-fold Goddess, Hecate. She is the Dark Moon, which represents the Dark Goddess, the wintertime, old age and knower of mysteries.  The Crone Goddess shines the light of wisdom for all to see.

Speaking of goddesses -- I remember decades ago, when I worked with a large number  of women, one of the young men working in our office would enter our department and greet us with "hello, goddesses!"  Some of the women would roll their eyes, but it always made me smile.  I'd respond, "Damn right!"  I wish I could remember that guy's name.  Alas ... memory loss is one of the humbling aspects of menopause ...

Sorry ... I ventured off-topic!  Namaste!

I can echo so many of your observations about aging.  There is a sense of liberation about menopause and I thought of that passage as a return to my original childhood self, only with wrinkles and wisdom.  Fast forward to 70, I’ve developed a different perspective on life, having compassion for my childhood self who endured trauma, for my younger, immature adult self, for all the struggles of my life.  However, what has come out of that introspection is a broader compassion for others and their struggles and heartaches.  While I find myself deeply grateful for the blessings of my life, it’s much more satisfying now to look outward and help others, to encourage others, to lift them up with my love and compassion. My intuitive gifts have also flourished as I’ve aged.  It’s a gift to be able to share kindness and insight.

I have reposted the following under "Attention Heart Warriors":

I know that I’m off the forum topic, but I want to express how grateful I am to have found so many kindred spirits in this community – young, old, women, men, from all walks of life and different persuasions – I have learned so much from all of you, even in my advancing years.  May I never stop learning!

@triciact and @bluebelle, thank you for your insightful posts about aging.  It is  wonderful to connect with so many women of that “certain age.”  @triciact, you mentioned feeling lonely.  Like you, over time I have lost friends for myriad reasons.  I do feel lonely at times, but perhaps in my advancing years, it’s because I’ve finally allowed myself the time and space to feel lonely?   All those years of rushing around … that’s gone.  The loneliness I feel is a pure spiritual longing – understanding that there’s more to me than this physical body, and a desire to fully embrace that part of myself.

@bluebelle, I too look at my younger self with much more understanding and forgiveness.  And the more I’ve forgiven myself, the more compassion I have for others.  I also view my so-called “losses” differently.  The missed opportunities, failing vision, thinning hair, memory lapses, aching bones … are they really losses? The vessel empties, but if we accept and allow it, it is filled again with the amazing gifts of wisdom, kindness, generosity – and new, amazing opportunities to shine our light.  I am so grateful to be here, on this planet, at this time, with all of you.

@vestralux

I've been especially interested in the concepts of retrocausality and read what online articles I was able to find as well as sought understandings through my own frequent but small experiences with bizarre time looping.

After many such tiny deja vu or messed up in order experiences i began to feel i was entering my senior experiences a little too frequently and became concerned about my own state of mind and continued daily "loopiness".

But your discussions here as well as experiences with you in online group nights has me seriously wanting to learn,  practice and more importantly share a group healing experience rather than my current one of asking my higher angels for guidance and assistance by myself.

I can see some wonderful possibilities for all of us as well as this group and our reaching out in a far larger energy field for not only our own healing and those of our loved ones but for our world.

Perhaps our next new moon, full moon, alignment of the stars? If we don't do it collectively than on our own as I have for the last months but on a chosen night.

If the power of the collective can get us to where we are now with events triggered by D.T.and Ukraine  it is incredibly exciting to imagine really big possibilities and see what else might lie in our cards, those of our loved ones, our world, and our very survival in the times ahead. ?

Ok, here it goes.  I threw 3 cards on the Occupier of the W. H.  One for October, one for November and one for December using the Thoth deck.  I think they appear to flow from one month to another.  If anyone wants to weigh in, please do so.

October- Prince of Disks

November - Ace of Wands

December- Death

What do I make of these?  Well, I am still a big time novice but here are my initial thoughts.

October, he is naked for the world to see.  The Bull is going headstrong carrying him on a singular mission.  A singular focus.  His grasp on the globe/world and control of his scepter ( his rule) is more important than his control of the bull so perhaps the bull is his drive.  He doesn't have a handle on the reins of the bull.

November. Burning his way through the month. Rage?  What is left? I know this is normally a positive card but I am seeing it in a more negative way.

December- He can't deal with the circumstances and he gives up or is removed from office. It is kinda like what is left after the ace of wands.  After the fire, this is what remains.

@vestralux,

In early September you shared a story of a profound experience you had in the woods when you were an adolescent.    I found your story deeply moving and couldn’t get it out of my head.  It made me think of a sweet picture on a greeting card I had purchased years ago but thought I had lost.  The young girl in that picture, Poppy, reminded me of you.   Poppy was in the woods, nestled safely underground, eyes closed, almost in a meditative state, rooted to the ground beneath her, and sprouting new growth above her.  Each time I saw the picture, I felt peaceful, protected, and grounded.  I also felt hopeful – anticipating that at any moment, that girl would be reborn from the mother earth that nurtured and protected her -- stronger, wiser, whole, free.

Yesterday I found the card (published by The Green Tiger Press) and want to share that picture with you.  It is attached below.  The illustration is called “What Poppy Dreamed” and is from a series of children’s books, "The Vegemen’s Revenge" by Florence Upton.  I believe Florence’s daughter was the illustrator.

I will close with the beautiful message that is contained inside this card:

When the heart weeps for what it has lost, the spirit laughs for what it has found.

Attachment removed

This is so precious and pure and wonderful, @deetoo. Thank you so much for posting it. ❤️ (And you too, @michele-b-here-in-the-forum, for your words further back!)

Seeing this image is synchronistic for me. Lately, as I've been grounding myself before charging the water I give my plants, or before meditation or remote viewing or prayer, I've imagined myself similar to this little image of Poppy. I start out as a sleeping seed, nestled in the cool, wet earth among the wiggling worms, knowing that somewhere below, there's a vast fire, warming and magnetizing the Earth.  Slowly, I grow with the roots and lattices, intertwining with a vast net of mycelia in every direction, connecting intelligently with all the other trees and plant roots, and drinking with them from the mineral and aquifer streams. The imagery grows as I become a whole ecosystem of plant beings, reaching up out of the earth toward the sky, where birds and mammals and insects make a home in and under our leaves, all as the radiant sun shines or the rains pour and the breeze blows, so that we bow and gesture together to the rhythm of the moon's waxing and waning, and the spiraling orbit of the whole.

Update.  I noticed that this throw I posted in September has be very accurate so far.  I would like to state that the death card in December is most likely going to be his House Impeachment.  I haven't really posted  or analyzed a throw before so it is kinda cool seeing it happen over the course of the first 2 months.

I just drew some cards to practice (Thoth deck). I asked specific questions relating to Trump and outcomes:

1st card - question will DT get the corona virus? I drew the Hanged Man. My interpretation is that it is out of his control as to whether he gets the virus or not, just as the whole situation is out of his control. This is something he can’t spin and manipulate.

2nd card - what will the outcome be of the virus situation for him? I drew the sun reversed. He will try with his usual hubris and arrogance to manipulate people’s’ view of his actions.

3rd card - How will this play during the upcoming elections? I drew the Art card. My eyes were drawn to the animals on opposing sides of the cauldron. He will pit both sides against each other and try as the alchemist does to create something valuable out of something of little value. This is how he keeps attention on himself and keeps dissent alive.

4th card - what will the outcome of the election be for him? I got the Tower. This is not going to end well for him in the election. And now, he got his own Tower card!

If anyone has comments or other views on this, as always I am happy to hear them.

@baba

I've never used the THOTH deck, so I googled the picture of the Art card- WOW! SO much about what you said is true for the 3rd card draw. First of all that card jumped out at me for so many reasons. I've always only used either the Rider Waite or the Angel Tarot. The Thoth tarot is "mystical" to me. Some of the cards I looked at spoke to me and others were difficult for me to understand.

My feeling on that card is that he will be trying everything he can - just like you said - to pit everyone against one another. I'm sure he'll throw out all the multitude of accusations he can muster about Biden, even if he is the real womanizer, not Biden. He'll also do many other things to try to get everyone to be topsy turvy with one another. He'll have more than Russia helping him too, specifically two countries. He'll use all his evil negative energies in this. I hope and pray Biden can even handle what is coming.

I get Nancy Pelosi plays a big part as well as another woman in this election - probably Biden's VP pick.

AND for the outcome for T - Tower card - YAY!

Morning, everyone! This morning I did a card reading on the future of Donald Trump, more out of general curiosity and something to do with the cards. At first I couldn’t really make sense of them and nearly scrapped the whole thing, but then I thought it would be a good exercise to push forward and see what I could come up with.

Sharing it here to get your thoughts.

Question: What can you tell me about the future of DT?

Deck: Thoth (trimmed)

Cards: 2 Wands / Hanged Man / Prince of Cups, later clarified by Magus / Art

So the first thing that struck me about these cards is that, with the exception of the 2 of Wands, they are all very “blue.” The 2 of Wands is a very fiery card denoting masculine energy and virility, and the presence of four blue cards (which appear to me like water even though they themselves are not all water cards) that follow indicates to me a diluting of this fire and power. So right off the bat I see a weakening of his power. (Of course, this could be wishful thinking on my part.)

So yes, in the present moment there is Dominion. But this is followed by the Hanged Man, which indicates to me sacrifice. Is DT doing the sacrificing, or is he the one being sacrificed? At the very least, this is a card of uncertainty. The Hanged Man denotes a powerless condition, where everything is out of one’s hands. This is a marked contrast from the Dominion of the 2 of Wands.

The Hanged Man gives way to the Prince of Cups. I asked for some clarification on this card, as I sometimes like to do with Court cards, and I got the Magus, the master of his tools. The Prince of Cups, or air of water — the communication of  emotions. It seems to me that, following the sacrifice and uncertainty of the Hanged Man, communication will be all DT is capable of, giving voice to his ire — yelling and carrying on — but there will be no power behind it. The only “tool” he will still be master over (the Magus) is the ability to give voice to his emotions (Prince of Cups).

The final card, Art, indicates change, transformation — but specifically changing something into its opposite. The card opposite Art, the card that begins the spread, is Dominion, a card of virility and masculinity. With Art capping the spread, I believe it indicates DT will ultimately be transformed into his opposite: weak and powerless.

(As I post this, it is interesting to see some parallels with the reading @Baba did a few weeks ago -- the Hanged Man and Art are here, too!)

As I said earlier, it is totally possible this reading was an exercise in wishful thinking on my part, so please, as always, feel free to share your interpretations :)

Here is my take on this spread:

The 2 of wands indicates DT is on a path of discovery (like all of us) that is just beginning to be formulated in his mind, but he still hasn't decided whether he will take it.  In order for him to find the path (new perspectives), he must stop and surrender (Hanged Man). The Prince of Cups and Magus indicate that by doing this, new paths towards love and compassion will be opened up to him and he will be able to find Balance (Art).

PS: I know people don't like to believe that DT is capable of something like the above, but at his core is Divine Love, the same as everyone else.

I feel like the two of wands is his crossroads and choice of where he could go. Unfortunately I think the magus card says he will try everything he can to communicate what he wants and how he wants it the way he wants it. He will throw "everything against the wall" so to speak. He will use the web based tools (twitter etc) to communicate to his base.

Your interpretation of the Magus card really resonated with me. The Magician is Hermes (Mercury), a master communicator with an uncanny power to persuade. Hermes is also the Trickster, who revels in upending things or sowing chaos for his own amusement. Trump (whose sun sign is Gemini, which is ruled by Mercury) loves to create chaos as a means of keeping everyone around him off-balance.

It's this expression of the Magus that feels present in this reading.

I threw 3 cards on Donald Trump today for the month of August 2020.

First Card  Disappointment

I noticed lots of entanglement.  What binds the cups together is entanglement after entanglement.  Loops, criss crosses and ties in knots.  The plants are dying.  I take this to mean that Trump can't find a path forward, it's continuously blocked.  Reminds me of a horror movie when you try to escape the house of horrors but can't find an exit.

Second Card Virtue

I see the Virtue card as bright and alive. The paths available are filled with light and go off in different directions.  One may only walk a clear path with virtue.  Virtue is missing in Trump's life.  It is why he is stuck with disappointment and no path out.  If virtue it is entering his life, he is not inviting in, it is presenting itself without permission.

Third Card  Failure

The absence of light is very noticeable.    Dark money (disks).  Dark money might lead to failure.  Or money which is in darkness, might be hidden.  I would say there is also a possibility that a virtuous person(s) uncovers dark money. Or virtue will lead to a Trump defeat.

Overall, the virtue card stands at odds with the other two, as through it is a shield deflecting the darker cards to either side of it.

Last night I did a quick reading about what Trump will experience in 2021. I decided to do two different spreads: one for his physical placement during the year (ie, where is he? What is he doing re: the presidency?) and another for his physical health.

Physical placement: Hierophant, 2 Swords, 10 Swords

Well, I wasn't too thrilled to see the Hierophant beginning this group of cards. This leads me to think he may actually start 2021 in a position of power, but it definitely seems as though this power is gone by the end of the year.

Physical health: 4 Swords, 7 Wands, 5 Swords

This reading leads me to think he will fight against his deteriorating health -- we already know about his strength of will -- but it looks like he loses this fight in 2021.

Not sure if the two are connected (is the ruin of his presidency connected to the defeat of his health?); I asked the cards but the answer was not clear.

If Biden wins the election, Trump will still be in power as president for the first 3 weeks of January until the inauguration date of January 20th.  Perhaps that is what you got?
