Lightheaded after Tarot

Hi I have a question which I hope is appropriate for this forum section, and I hope someone can help:) I'm finding that when I have done a Tarot reading  I get  lightheaded (readings for myself, or by myself about other people/world issues, I don't do readings for other people). I don't remember experiencing this when I did Tarot many years ago. I don't feel it during the reading, it's always afterwards.

Has anyone else every experienced this? Does anyone have any advice they could share to avoid this please? It takes a while to go away. Maybe it's just me concentrating hard on getting intuitive meanings and it's exercising my brain/intuitive centers, so maybe it'll go when I get more experience and confidence lol.

Thank you:)

Hi Blue, light headedness can come from so many causes.  I've never had that happen to me after reading cards, but here are some possibilities:

Anxiety:  I can imagine that it could happen when you tap into parts of yourself that have been hidden and the light-headedness could be anxiety at the idea that more hidden thoughts will start to come to the surface.

When we use the tarot, we tap into parts of our self that are slightly below consciousness.  There is an extraordinary knowing down there, which is beautiful. But there also are likely to be experiences, knowledge, and feelings that you've kept hidden from yourself for one reason or another.  Once you start giving readings, it's possible your psyche is ill at ease at the possibility of more coming up to consciousness.

It's also possible that from your upbringing, you have some conditioning that says that Tarot is bad, which again could cause anxiety. Is that a possibility?

2. Empowerment:  is it possible that you feel a little gitty and thus light headed from the excitement of reading the Tarot?

Hi Jeanne, thanks very much for your suggested causes. I don't think it's conditioning, as I'm not afraid of Tarot and am keen to learn more.  Anxiety could be contributor as I do sometimes feel surprised at my readings, not from anything bad but because I can see it's correct and am always a little surprised that I could get anything through the cards at all (I don't know why lol since I know my psychic capabilities). Even thinking about it brings on the light headedness, so yes, maybe it's a psychological thing.

Perhaps a Better way to think about it is to think of it as energy.

Whether it’s psychological or spiritual or both, it’s all about energy. Anxiety is energy moving through your  body.  Light headedness is energy moving through you.  It could be excitement.

After your last post, I think it’s a kind of excitement.  You are getting better at tapping into spiritual consciousness.   This is good stuff.
