Syria Crisis that May Emerge

There is a timeline that could see the end to war in Syria in the next six months. Unfortunately, that timeline isn't very likely. In that timeline, Assad refrains from moving into the Golan Heights, Netanyahu loses power in Israel and his successor decides to negotiate with Iran about their presence in Syria and accepts an agreement with Iranian forces staying well away from Israel but allowed to cooperate with Assad in the rest of Syria to finish the last loose ends of the war. And the US mostly stay out of the picture. Then the war ends with Assad gaining full control of Syria, except for the Golan Heights. As I said, possible but unlikely.

The dominant timeline is the one I described in my last post. There have been recent reports of general Mattis risking being fired and/or mulling getting out of the White House, so at least that part of the prediction is proving correct.
