@saibh & lovenendures*
Thank you.... Two of my favorites... really made my day ?
"Michael (Stipe) told Stephen that he's stopped watching the news, gotten off of all social media... and is an 'antenna' )" ?
Michael is an EMPATH of the highest degree ... his example is stellar ... love his new song!
'No Time for Love Like Now'
(...There's no time in the bardo, no time in the in-between ....)
One of the BEST Randy Rainbow Videos! Cover Your Freakin Face.
Music is my go to every day. There is music everywhere in my household;-)

That said, I dusted off a CD I hadn't listened to for a year. As it is playing I realize how perfect and uplifting it is for these times. If you can, check out Terry Callier. He is an amazing musician and, looking at his biography, quite an amazing being too.
His songs are too numerous to mention. I recommend listening to a few on YouTube. It will lift your spirit!
Â
I'm sure this should have also been in the "all things Pets" area too but my hubby and I watched the Movie: "A Dog's Journey" last night (with Denis Quaid) and I laughed and cried. It's such a heartwarming movie (Josh Gad is the voice of the dog). I HIGHLY recommend it.
i don't usually like country music, unless it's Alt Country, emphasis on the "Alt". But i heard this on Radio Pacifica today, and wow:
WHEN THIS IS OVER
I HOPE I TAKE A LITTLE LESS FOR GRANTED
I HOPE I’M A LITTLE MORE UNDERSTANDIN’
WHEN SOME THINGS DON’T MAKE SENSE
WHEN THIS IS OVER
I HOPE I SMILE AT A PASSIN’ STRANGER
TAKE TIME TO GET TO KNOW MY NEIGHBORS
AND BREAK BREAD EVERY NOW AND THEN
OH, OH, OH CAUSE RIGHT NOW ALL I GOT IS TIME
TO THINK ABOUT THE BOTTOM LINE
AND WHAT I HAVE, WHERE I STAND
HOW I LIVE AND WHO I AM
I HOPE THESE HARD TIMES MAKE ME BETTER
NOT JUST OLDER
WHEN THIS IS OVER
I HOPE I STAY OUT OF MY HEAD
AND I’M A LITTLE MORE EMPATHETIC
PUT MYSELF IN PEOPLE’S SHOES
WHEN THIS IS OVER
I’LL KISS THE GROUND AND SEND A PRAYER TO THE SKY
THANK GOD I’M BREATHING AIR AND ALIVE
AND I GET ONE MORE DAY WITH YOU
I HOPE THESE HARD TIMES MAKE ME BETTER
NOT JUST OLDER
WHEN THIS IS OVER
LADIES AND GENTLEMEN,
THE OAK RIDGE BOYS
RIGHT NOW, ALL I GOT IS TIME
TO THINK ABOUT THE BOTTOM LINE
WHAT I HAVE, WHERE I STAND
HOW I LIVE AND WHO I AM
I HOPE THESE HARD TIMES MAKE ME BETTER
NOT JUST OLDER
WHEN THIS IS OVER
-the part where the Oak Ridge Boys kick in, at about 3:02, is just shivers
I don't know how many here are familiar with Walter Mercado? Growing up in a diverse area and being latinx-adjacent/part hispanic, I watched a lot of Spanish language TV growing up. Walter Mercado is this mystical being who used to do a daily astrology show. He's a very special soul - he transcends time and gender.
There is a Netflix documentary about him - "Mucho Mucho Amor, The Legend of Walter Mercado".
In English and subtitled Spanish.
I was moved to tears but also to smiles. If you know him at all, you will love this, but even if not, I think anyone with an intuitive bent or an appreciation for transcendence and love will enjoy his story. And it's nothing too deep, either, it just is.
The latest Randy Rainbow is about Anthony Fauci.
I only learned of Walter Mercado after his death last year. Such an exotic and colorful personality, he can only remind me of a mix of Liberace and Charo but i know in reality he was so very much more.
I will share a link to go with your wonderful post about him.

Santanahhh ~
Bella ..... & Europa (!!!)
Two of the very most amazing instrumental masterpieces from Carlos Santana.... guaranteed to send you into the bliss dimensions ....

 and also "Europa" https://youtu.be/Ot6pSrKT1oc
and for @deetoo "Everybody's Everything" https://youtu.be/4DBy3If7_ik
(i wore out Abraxas, too. Then i hung the cover on the wall, because, Art!)
and for @Unk-p , Santana "Yo Me Lo Merezco" https://youtu.be/mbckI715aKY
Â
So one time i was eating lunch on Haight St., on the sidewalk at the place that had 99 cent beers and burritos, and Carlos walked right by me. He is quite fancy, and i dropped my burrito
Ok, ALL is forgiven Unk! Thank you from the top of my ?
There was a time when Carlos wasn't so fancy (at the Fillmore West in SF when he had waist-length hair and used to have those 99¢ burritos on Haight St. too).... but he is still rockin' and still plugged into the Divine even though his millions are probably weighing him down a bit.Â
You are an Angel Unk, and we love you!!
One of my brushes with fame was sharing an elevator with Carlos Santana at the Ritz Hotel in NoLa during JazzFest in 2014.
I didn't feel it was appropriate to speak (unusual for me), so I didn't, but I can say he has a very positive energy around him.
Hey .. you shoulda said something! It's not everyday that we encounter the likes of Carlos (in an elevator no less ;)
He is a Moon Child remember, and just had a b'day recently (70-something).... he probably has mellowed in his Golden years and would have given you a big hug!
(I would've hugged him first in gratitude for all the years he's been creating inspiring genius music, don't care who it would embarass, you know?)
He was surrounded by his retinue... we did smile and say hello, though.
@unk-p, Aww ... God bless you for that! I'd never seen a raw, live performance of "Everybody's Everything," sans horns -- that was really great!
Here's a cover of that same song, performed by Sheila E, Steve Winwood and Orianthi at the Kennedy Center in 2013, honoring Santana. I got a little teary when I saw it -- made me think of a saner, happier time in this country. But then I clearly heard the message, you've been there once, you'll be there again. Yes!
In the meantime, my friends, if you're feeling anxious, angry, depressed, whatever -- bang on those drums or congas or bongos or metal trash can or whatever you have on hand -- and channel your inner Sheila E!

and @unk-p
I never miss the Kennedy center honors (hope one happens somehow this year) because they are always filled with these kind of moments that make you go ..."aww" and "wow". You see the honorees emotions and the artists honoring them go full out for them. It's always the best show every December on TV. The best years of the Kennedy Center honors was when we had a REAL POTUS: President Obama. They were incredible! rock on! ?☮️ ?
Here are a couple of timeless classics that Spirit keeps putting in my rattled little head ... for all of you Scorpios from our eternal soul bard Neil (a double Scorpio), who is no stranger to deep trans-formation ?
Neil Young ~ ' WILL TO LOVE '
